Shalom! My name is Claire and I am a long-term intern with Beatitudes Missions for 15 months in May 2019-July 2020 in Israel, France, and the States. I grew up in Newport, Michigan (in between Toledo and Detroit). I recently graduated with my degrees in Pastoral Ministry and Psychology from Madonna University. I met Father Anthony at SLS 2018 and spent two months in Israel for pilgrimage and service in the summer of 2018. My time with the Beatitudes in the Holy Land transformed my life, and upon return I was certain Christ would bring me back some day. I am so blessed to open myself to the Lord in service to this mission!
Bonjour! I’m a lay member of the Community of the Beatitudes, originally from Minnesota. I hold a Bachelor's in Nursing from Bethel University and a Master’s in Leadership for the New Evangelization from the Augustine Institute. I love my family, community, friends and adventures of all kinds. I have been on pilgrimages with Beatitudes Missions to Israel, WYD Poland and France. With Beatitudes Missions, I have the privilege to see how the Lord loves his young people and calls each one to a beautiful and unique life! I offer mentoring for our interns, and leadership for our programs in France and on our Israel Immersion!
Hello! My name is Mark Wathen, and I am from Lincoln, Nebraska. I am spending seven months with Beatitudes Missions in the US, France, and Israel from Jan-July 2020. I just graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines this December with a degree in mechanical engineering. I love spending time outdoors, cooking, and sharing new music with friends. Going on pilgrimage to the Holy Land has been a dream of mine for years, and I am really excited for this next step in my relationship with God!
Hi there! My name is Taylor Bayne. I am originally from Wyoming, and I currently live in SW Montana where I spend my summers working on a bison ranch in the Snowcrest Mountains. I met Fr. Anthony while studying at Ave Maria University, and I spent three months in the Holy Land with the community’s inaugural Fall Immersion group shortly after graduating. This will be my third time traveling to Israel with the Beatitudes, and I am so excited to get to know and serve the Holy Land, the culture, and hopefully the language on a deeper level.
Hi! My name is Michaela (Kayla) Reyes. I am the second of seven children and I grew up in Colorado and northern Virginia, where my family currently lives. I am graduating with my Bachelor's in Theology and Political Science from Notre Dame in May 2020 and after I will spend 15 months with Beatitudes Missions in Israel, France, and the States. I spent summer 2019 in Israel with Beatitudes Missions and am thrilled to continue following the Lord. I learned so much about living in community and trusting Divine Providence through traveling in Israel and serving at Emmaus and hope to foster a space for others to encounter the Lord in Israel. I look forward to growing in the Lord with the friendship of the Beatitudes.
